Contests and Challenges
Beginning November 2nd, EHS is launching two competitions:
- Make Safety Stick - Design a sticker promoting safe lab practices. Submit your design by January 10th using the QR code. EHS will print the winner's sticker and hand them out during LSAW!
Guidelines:
- Submissions must be original work; no use of AI
- Any mascots/characters must be wearing proper PPE
- Submissions must be free of inappropriate, offensive, or unprofessional material
- Stickers will be printed about 2-3 inches (length/width or diameter)
2. Clutter Busters: The Great Lab Clean-Out Contest - Pick a fume hood, fridge/freezer, chemical cabinet, lab bench, or other lab area to clean out. Submit your before and after photos by January 31st using the QR code. EHS will perform a live drawing during LSAW. Winners choose either coffee and doughnuts or pizza for their lab!
Guidelines:
- Be sure to take before photos!
- Each lab area you clean can be entered separately (i.e., multiple entries per lab are encouraged).
- The more areas you clean, the more chances to win!
Winners will be recognized during the Fall 2027 Safety Contacts meeting and on the EHS LSAW webpage.
